Terms of Service

Full Term Classes

By enrolling your child in classes at Cherry Tree Art Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“you”, the parent/guardian) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

1. Enrolment and Payment

1.1 Enrolment is on a term basis, and fees must be paid in full prior to the first class.
1.2 Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
1.3 Enrolments may be cancelled if payment is not received by the due date.

2. Attendance and Make-Up Lessons

2.1 You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if your child will miss a class to be eligible for a makeup lesson.
2.2 We will make reasonable efforts to offer a suitable makeup class, subject to availability.
2.3 A maximum of two (2) makeup lessons per term is permitted.
2.4 If the available makeup options do not fit your schedule, the class will be considered forfeited.
2.5 Makeup lessons must be taken within the same term and cannot be carried over to the next term.
2.6 No credits, refunds, or fee adjustments will be issued for missed or forfeited classes.

3. Public Holidays

3.1 Classes will proceed as scheduled on public holidays, unless otherwise notified.
3.2 Missed classes on public holidays are treated as standard absences and subject to the makeup policy outlined above.

4. Student Conduct and Supervision

4.1 Students must behave respectfully and follow the instructor's guidance at all times.
4.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment for unsafe or disruptive behaviour, without refund.
4.3 Parents are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up. We are not liable for students outside of class times.

5. Materials and Equipment

5.1 Students are required to bring their own material kit. For specific materials needed for each age group, please see our materials information.
5.2 A material fee may apply for canvases or special projects, depending on size and year level.
5.3 The studio provides large palette knives, easels, and any specialised equipment required for painting classes.
5.4 Students must treat studio property and materials with care.

6. Safety and Medical Disclosure

6.1 While we take all reasonable precautions to maintain a safe learning environment, participation is at the student’s own risk.
6.2 We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage unless caused by proven negligence.
6.3 Parents must notify us of any medical conditions, allergies, or specific needs relevant to their child’s participation.

7. Photography and Promotion

7.1 We may take photos or videos of students and their work for use in our promotional materials and social media.
7.2 If you do not consent to this, please notify us in writing at the time of enrolment.

8. Cancellations and Studio Changes

8.1 In the event of a teacher's absence or unforeseen studio closure, a makeup lesson will be offered.
8.2 If no alternative can be arranged, a credit or refund will be issued for the missed class.
8.3 We reserve the right to adjust class times, teachers, or schedules with notice, where necessary.

9. Amendments to Terms

9.1 These terms may be updated periodically. The most recent version will be available upon request and communicated via email or other studio channels.
9.2 Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
