Cherry Tree Art is a boutique home art studio in Cherrybrook NSW, founded in 2013 by award-winning artist, designer and educator Jiamei Liu.

We help children grow not only as artists, but as thinkers, problem solvers, and confident young people. Through refined teaching methods, our students build strong portfolios, focused minds, and a deep love for creative expression.
At Cherry Tree Art Studio, students experiment with diverse techniques, learning to see and express the everyday through new creative perspectives.

WHAT WE OFFER

Every child is creative, and with the right space, their imagination can flourish. Our classes provide a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel free to explore, take risks, and enjoy the process of making art. We encourage them to see mistakes as part of discovery and growth, helping them build confidence and a genuine love for creating.

Students explore a wide range of age-appropriate materials, gradually learning to layer and combine mediums as their skills grow. Each class balances enjoyment with developing material knowledge, observation skills, and creative expression. Through this, students build technical ability, curiosity, and appreciation for diverse art styles, and subject matter.

We guide students in building polished portfolios for both guaranteed early entry and portfolio-based university admission. Year 12 Visual Arts students also receive support in developing a cohesive and meaningful HSC Body of Work.
More than exam preparation, we nurture a mindset that sees creativity as part of daily life, helping students find beauty in the ordinary and use art to connect, reflect, and express themselves beyond the classroom.
